Here we will review how to edit a Signed encounter note, as well as how to access the revisions made to an encounter note.

Accessing The eChart:
This can be done a number of ways, such as using the E short cut from a scheduled appointment, or on a patient search:
Now that we have accessed the eChart, lets locate a signed note to edit!
Edit An Encounter Note:
In the top right corner of each Signed encounter note will be an Edit option:
By clicking Edit, the note will open to allow your cursor to click into to make any modifications:
When making an Edit to a Signed encounter note, the Save icon will be removed. The only options remaining will be to Sign and Save, Sign Save and Verify, Sign Save and Bill.
Once Signed, the note will show new date and time stamp:
All edits will be tallied with the Revisions link.
Revisions:
Any modifications made to an encounter note will be accessible from the Revisions link that is accessible from the bottom right corner of each encounter note:
In our example, the encounter note was saved 3 different times, so it shows as Rev 3.
By clicking on the number of revisions, a new window will load to show the previous entries of that encounter note:
The last entry that is Signed will be what is visible from the encounter notes:
Please note that the example was edited one final time to remove the past Signs, leaving only one Signed entry.
