The development tickets associated with the 1.16 OSCAR Pro Build are listed below.
NOTE: Some development tickets have been excluded from the list as they may include features not fully activated, technical terminology that does not offer substantial insight to users, or sensitive technical information.
Ring Central Fax Outbox
Clinics that have Ring Central set up as their EMR fax integration have access to an Fax Outbox to see sent faxes, see the delivered status of fax in real time, and re-send failed faxes.
For more information on Ring Central, see Ring Central eFax Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The Fax Outbox can be accessed via Administration > Electronic Faxing > Fax Outbox. The following improvements are included in the latest release:
Accessing Fax Outbox automatically searches and presents fax items from the last 3 days, eliminating the need to select dates and manually click Search to see results.
The action buttons have been redesigned, and two additional functions are added:
- The "View" button has been replaced with a standardized eye icon.
- Ability to "Archive" desired items. When the Archive button is clicked, users can select an Archiving Reason to denote why this item was archived.
- Ability to "Resend" a failed fax to the same number. The Resend icon is only available for faxes that have failed "Error" status. Usually used when the receiving fax line is busy.
Image displaying the three icons; View, Archive and Resend
Archiving faxes allows clinics to get rid of faxes with "Error" status once they have been resent or dealt with accordingly. The Archive Reason allows users to specify why the associated fax item was removed, and what action was done to ensure the fax makes its way to the proper destination.
Archived items can be viewed by clicking the Archived Filter in the Fax Outbox
Clicking Unarchive on an item displays the reason it was archived and gives the user the ability to "bring it back" (if it was archived by mistake).
Clicking Demographic Number opens the Master Record of the patient, for easier patient access.
Attachment Manager Improvements
The Attachment Manager can be accessed by clicking the following icon at the bottom of the eChart:
The Categories have been re-ordered to display the most common used ones at the top. Such as eForms, Labs, HRM's and Documents. This results in less scrolling or category minimization for users that send a lot of individual items per day.
Users can revert to the "Alphabetical" order by clicking the Settings icon at the top right and selecting "Order Categories Alphabetically". This setting applies only to the current user and will not change the order for other users in the EMR.
Users can now select eDocs when using "Save for Ocean". Allowing to share general handouts, contact information, or other generic eDocs when sending an Ocean message from OSCAR Pro.
The toast message showing categories compatible with "Save for Ocean" has been updated to provide a list of supported items:
eForms in Attachment Manager now include the subject of the eForm making it easier for users to distinguish between various eForms (as long as the subject has been added to eForm when it was saved)
Users can now select Smart Encounter Form Letters in Attachment Manager and attach them to Ocean Messages via the "Save for Ocean" functionality.
A new category called "Smart Encounter" has been created to display these for selection:
Document file names in the Ocean Message now reflect their exact name in OSCAR. This makes it easier for users to see if they attached the desired document at a glance, without always having to go into the document to see the content.
The titles in Ocean display the Document Name in OSCAR, followed by the date associated with the document.
The Attachment Names in Ocean reflect the proper Document name in OSCAR
When attempting to export a very large set of data, the Attachment Manager presents a warning to the user suggesting to break down the items into more manageable chunks:
