Performance Enhancements
Building on our previous efforts in the 1.13 Release Notes, this release marks the expansion of our Performance Enhancements category, offering insights into the improvements made.
Since Q3 of 2024, the OSCAR Pro Team has implemented an industry leading data analytics platform to better understand how the system performs both individually and across the platforms. This enables us to address performance related issues over time and optimize loading speeds throughout the EMR.
Examples of performance improvements can include:
- Streamlining database queries for faster loading of EMR sections.
- Reducing errors in the system to ensure smoother performance tracking.
- Implementing query timeouts to prevent delays from long running processes and queries.
- Adjusting workflows to minimize unnecessary loading steps.
This category can include both bugs and improvement tickets.

- Converted "Long Term" into a button for easier interaction and labeling.
- Introduced tooltips to clarify button functions.
- Reduced button sizes to increase space for medical information.
- Updated the X (Close) button for a more consistent and intuitive navigation experience.
- Updated PrescribeIT UI's to fit with existing design standards and colours.
- For additional details, please see tickets under Improvements section
Navigating Login Page Updates
Users can utilize the arrows (< >) on the Login Page to browse through important updates, new features, and key announcements. Stay informed about the latest changes in your EMR.
Investment in Analytics & In-App Engagement
As part of our ongoing focus on customer experience and improving OSCAR Pro's performance, we have added tools that helps us better understand how you use OSCAR Pro, and present you with relevant information to support you in using your EMR.
These tools allow us to:
- Learn how you interact with OSCAR Pro day to day
- Engage with everyone using OSCAR Pro individually
- Make better informed decisions that improve your experience with OSCAR Pro
- Communicate product updates and other news more effectively
Why This Matters for Your Practice
Previously, we could only learn about users’ experiences through direct conversations or screen-sharing sessions, a very intrusive process that only reaches a very small number of users. Now, we can automatically identify common workflows, track down and remove frustrations, and ultimately enhance the overall experience for all users faster.
What Information is Collected?
Essentially the software tracks what you click on and what pages you visit in OSCAR Pro. This creates “usage pathways” that show us the steps you take to complete tasks, how long it takes, and where you may be experiencing frustration.
It does not collect any Personal Health Information or data related to patients that you enter into OSCAR Pro, and it does not collect or monitor anything related to the quality of care you are providing.
How This Benefits You?
As we make new features or improvements, you’ll see:
- Streamlined interfaces based on how people are using the EMR
- Fewer click and less scrolling for common tasks
- Improved workflows designed for efficiency
New In-App Engagement
You will also occasionally receive communication from us about:
- New features or improvements that might benefit you
- Tips to help you use OSCAR Pro more effectively
- Brief surveys to provide us with your feedback
We will limit these messages to prevent disruption and show them only when it’s relevant to your work.
Privacy Choice
We are committed to transparency and user choice. If you have questions about how we use product analytics to improve your experience—or if you'd like to request to opt out of usage tracking—you can do so by filling out our quick form here:
Your feedback and preferences are important to us, and our product team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Patient Email Included in all Consultations
Starting with this build, OSCAR Pro will automatically include the patient's email address in all consultations by default.
Previously, clinics had to manually mark patients to include their email addresses in a consultation.
This update ensures that all consultations in OSCAR Pro contain an email address (where available), making it easier for clinics to contact patients without needing to verify email inclusion separately.
