1.12 Release Notes

  • Updated

The development tickets associated with the 1.12 OSCAR Pro Build are listed below. This build includes numerous bug fixes and improvements associated with the Attachment Manager and the RCX Reconcile function.

It also introduces a new UI for the Ontario Create Invoice module!

Many development tickets have been excluded from the list as they may include features not fully activated, technical terminology that does not offer substantial insight to users, or sensitive technical information.

Improved Create Invoice (ON) UI

The Ontario Create Invoice UI has been redesigned based on valuable client feedback and comprehensive internal research. The redesign brings notable improvements for faster, more efficient workflows by reducing the number of clicks.

For example, certain billing alerts are displayed within the interface and eliminate the need for additional pop-ups when saving. Additionally, users can use CTRL + S on keyboard to save the invoice.

Enabling the new Interface

To enable the updated UI, select the "Try the Improved Billing Experience" button at the top left of the existing Pro UI Create Invoice.


The new UI can also be disabled as needed via Settings (gear icon) at the top right:

Improvements

OSCARPRO-5736 – Update the Attachment Manager Fax Cover Design

  • The Cover Page displaying when the "Include Fax Cover Page" setting in Attachment Manager is enabled has been updated.



    The following areas were improved:

    • Clinic header formatting
    • Spacing of Subject and Content
    • Default disclaimer message added to bottom

OSCARPRO-5178 – Attach specific forms in Attachment Manager

  • The following Forms can now be selected via Attachment Manager

    • Perinatal
    • Rourke 2020
    • BC-AR2020
    • ON AR 2017
    • BC-AR2012

OSCARPRO-5723 – Exclude eDocs when using Select All in Attachment Manager

  • When using the "Select All" in Attachment Manager, the "eDocs" is no longer selected automatically. This empowers users to utilize the "Select All" to mark all clinical records, without adding eDocs which are not patient specific.

OSCARPRO-5787 – Metrics - Capture new billing activations and deactivations (toggle) by user

  • Implements Event metrics around using the updated Create Invoice (ON) UI. This allows the OSCAR Product Team to understand usage.

OSCARPRO-6112 – All Forms display under a single Form Category in Attachment Manager

  • All available Forms are now under a single "Forms" category (instead of a category for each Form). This helps reduce the need for additional Attachment Manager categories.

OSCARPRO-6183 – Set a default date range for all users who currently do not have one set

  • A default is applied to the Observation Date Filter in Pro Inbox. All users that currently do not have a value are set to 180 days.



    Users can modify the date as needed by clicking the field, or setting their own default under Preferences > Set Default Inbox Start Date Range (or clicking the settings great while having the inbox open)

    This helps ensure that users with very large/unkept inboxes refrain from loading everything on each open.

OSCARPRO-5673 – Add Audit Logging for RCX

  • Implements Event metrics around using the RCX Report and Reconcile function. Allows the OSCAR Product Team to understand usage and error rates.

OSCARPRO-5703 – Query takes too long; Add client_image index

  • Adds an Index to the client_image table to improve performance on some systems.

OSCARPRO-6057 – $getTemplate endpoint not returning time slots in JSON output

  • The getTemplate REST API end point has been configured to improve ability to search for open slots. This helps reduce the number of requests required to get up to date information both on the receiving and sending sides.

Bugs

OSCARPRO-5326 – Selecting Appointment Type clears Notes/Reason

  • Appointment Types that do not have a reason configured no longer overwrite the selected Reason to blank.

OSCARPRO-5657 – Disease Registry first visit date improperly sets to today

  • After updating the date within a single Disease Registry entry, clicking Update no longer sets the date to todays date. The edited date by the user is saved instead.

OSCARPRO-5756 –  Eyeform3 displays Plan Items for other patients if there is no appointment_no in plan

  • Omits the display on Plan Items in the eChart that are associated with appointment_no = 0 (no appointment. Mostly relevant for users switching from the Gray Ophthalmology Eyeform to the Eyeform3.

OSCARPRO-5775 – Asterisks Not Visible Despite HRMs in Unclaimed Inbox

  • Resolves an issue that causes the * not to display near Inbox link on Schedule, despite pending HRM items (not associated to provider).

OSCARPRO-5830 – Perinatal Resources Total Score is not appearing on PDF output

  • The Total Score on the Resource section of the Perinatal form now successfully displayed.

OSCARPRO-5944 – Upload MOH Files fails for long file names

  • Addresses an issue preventing users from uploading an MOH file manually if the name length is over a certain number of characters. 

OSCARPRO-5957 – PRO Inbox can't assign document to any demographic who has custom patient_status

  • Demographic set with a Custom Patient Status can now successfully be displayed when searching for their name in the Pro Inbox.

OSCARPRO-6014 –  Including CPP in attachment manager fails on Rich Text Letter causing 0 Byte PDF

  • Resolves an issue associated with selecting CPP items using Attachment Manager when using the Rich Text Letter eForm.

OSCARPRO-6180 – Fix stuck preview drawer on AM

  • The Attachment Manager preview panel is no longer fixed to the top of the screen. It follows the user as they scroll through Attachment Manager items.

OSCARPRO-6210 – RCX fails to load if provider has multiple profiles

  • Having the same billing number across multiple providers no longer stops the RCX report from loading.

OSCARPRO-6081 – RCX incorrectly marking update codes as Terminated.

  • AGE column no longer sets the patient as Terminated. Only specific termination codes in the RCX report can do that.

OSCARPRO-6226 – Smart Encounter Fax recipient name replaced by fax number after save

  • Saving a Smart Encounter entry no longer changes the name of the recipient (if applicable) with their fax number.

OSCARPRO-6227 – Archived CPP erroneously display in Attachment Manager

  • Archived CPP items no long display for selection in Attachment Manager. 

OSCARPRO-4859 – Pressing tab breaks Attachment Manager view

  • Clicking the Tab keyboard button no longer changes the height of the Attachment Manager content.

OSCARPRO-5374 – Attachment Manager | Displays archived/deleted documents and forms

  • Archived Documents or Forms no longer display in Attachment Manager.

OSCARPRO-5389 – Preview icon duplication

  • A duplicated Preview Icon in the Inbox is no longer displayed at the top right.

OSCARPRO-5452 – 'Mark Here' Arrival Time Stamp failing to Display on Schedule

  • Resolves issue causing the "Mark Here" time not to display on the associated appointment.

OSCARPRO-5474 – Attachment Manager | Lab results & eForm preview not working

  • Labs and eForms in the Attachment Manager can now be viewed successfully by clicking the eye "Preview" icon.

OSCARPRO-5540 – Null provider_no in Demographic table causes error 500

  • Solves an issue causing the health card validation (HCV) to load 500 error instead of correct patient data when incorrect data is submitted by a 3rd party via API. User no longer requires to clear cookies to work around this issue.

OSCARPRO-5561 – Clicking ReRx causes duplication

  • Clicking ReRx multiple times in the Pro Rx UI no longer causes the same drug to appear in the list multiple times.

OSCARPRO-5648 – Non-functional Archive button appears in fax outbox

  • Removes a non working "Archive" button component from the Fax Outbox in the EMR.

OSCARPRO-5662 – Fix High Memory Usage Problem in CDS Export

  • Addresses memory related issues for larger data sets when using the CDS Export.

OSCARPRO-5676 – Attachment Manager fails to load attachments when `Hl7TextInfo.obr_date` is null

  • Resolves a bug causing certain lab attachments not to load when an observation date was missing.

OSCARPRO-5686 – RCX report duplicating rows

  • Removes duplication of data when viewing the RCX Report.

OSCARPRO-5805 – Downloading faxes from Ring Central breaks with duplicate provider numbers in provider_default_program table

  • Addresses an issue that can cause the Ring Central integration not to work properly if there are duplicate provider number entries in the associated table.

OSCARPRO-5831 – HRMs with an .html attachment cause error in Attachment Manager Print or Fax

  • Attachment Manager can now process HRM files with related attachments successfully.

OSCARPRO-5911 – Downloaded PDF is broken when attaching Active Medications using Attachment Manager widget in eForms

  • Resolves the inability to generate a PDF when selecting the Active Medications sections in Attachment Manager.

OSCARPRO-6019 – Attachment does not show e-Forms

  • Resolves an issue discovered during internal testing of 1.12. Addresses an issue associated with Attachment Manager not loading in the BC build. 

OSCARPRO-6027 – OHIP Premium codes not working in PRO 1.12 release candidate

  • Addresses issue associated with Pro Create Invoice not loading certain OHIP codes. Discovered during internal testing.

Security

This release introduces numerous security improvements and fixes based on ongoing penetration testing and security assessments conducted by 3rd party agencies.

In order to prevent the spread and exposure of potential vulnerabilities, the titles and descriptions have been omitted for security reasons.

OSCARPRO-6200 – SLI loads incorrectly when specifically set in preferences

  • The SLI code no longer fails to load in the updated Ontario Invoicing.

OSCARPRO-6212 – Bill Type is not updating when changing the billing form

  • Resolves issue with Bill Type not being respected when a different Billing Form is selected in the updated Ontario Invoicing

OSCARPRO-6266 – Dx-Code is not auto-populating properly in PRO Billing or New Billing

  • Addresses loading of Dx code in the the updated Ontario invoicing

OSCARPRO-6358 – BUG - Error 500 when printing chart notes, Build 1.12.1

  • Resolves a 500 error that occurs when printing encounter notes from the eChart

OSCARPRO-6388 – Pro billing page fails to load in 1.12.2

  • Addresses a bug causing the Create Invoice not to load if a new preference does not exist in the database.

OSCARPRO-6392 – Cannot Sign and Save Edited Encounter Note

  • Resolves an issue where editing a note prevents user from saving it

OSCARPRO-6387– Dx code not populating correctly from a previous bill in history when user preference on

  • Resolves an issue causing the Dx code not to populate from historical billings despite the user preference enabled

OSCARPRO-6390 – Group Documents by Document Type - feature broken

  • Proper grouping of Documents by Type in eChart has been restored (when the associated setting is enabled)

OSCARPRO-6424 – Some eForms fail to display if GUID is NULL

  • Resolves an issue causing some of the eForms not to display within the eChart if the backfilling GUID tool has not finished running for all eForms.

OSCARPRO-6492 – Browser freezes when entering the Pro/New Billing module

  • The Create Invoice no longer causes browser to freeze when the auto populate Dx preference is enabled.

  • Resolves an issue causing RCX file reports not to load completely when opened.

OSCARPRO-6474 – Premium code does not auto check service code

  • When a Premium code is selected in the updated ON Invoice UI, all the underlying service codes are auto checked so that user doesn't have to do so manually.

OSCARPRO-6533 – Pro/New Billing won't save despite billing site and provider populated

  • Addresses a bug causing certain clinics on the Multisite configuration to get a false prompt when trying to save an invoice.

OSCARPRO-6561 – PRO Billing not loading correctly in Prod (eg 1.12.8 on 164 systems)

  • Addresses a bug causing users on the Multisite configuration not to be able to load the invoice properly.
