Aside from bug fixes, there have been numerous improvements to the Attachment Manager, and continued technical improvements under the hood.
Certain development tickets have been excluded from the list below as they may include features not fully activated, technical terminology that does not offer substantial insight to users, or sensitive technical information.
Attach Items to Patient Message via Attachment Manager
The 1.8 build introduces the "Save for Ocean" functionality. This button allows users to select items such as Documents, Labs or HRM's associated with a patient, and directly attach them to an Ocean Patient Message.
- Seamless Integration: Available exclusively for systems integrated with Ocean Patient Message.
- Fewer Clicks: Reduces the number of clicks needed to attach items to an Ocean Patient Message.
- No Downloads Needed: Eliminates the need to download files to your local computer before attaching items to an Ocean Patient Message.
- Time-Saving: Significantly reduces the time required to send an Ocean Patient Message with attachments.
- Upcoming Improvement: The ability to attach eForms to a Patient Message will be available in the next release!

OSCARPRO-4738 – eFax Additional API Logging
- Adds additional system logging. Improves the ability for Support and other Technicians to troubleshoot potential issues associated with the Ring Central integration.
OSCARPRO-4739 – Upgrade angular from to 17 in Pro UI
- Update the software framework for Pro UI to a newer version.
OSCARPRO-5003 – Reverse the order of items in Attachment Manager to be in chronological order from newest to oldest
- Displays the most recent items within Attachment Manager Categories first. Prevents users from needing to scroll down to find latest item when there are a lot of entries.
OSCARPRO-5024 – Add ability to press return to add manual recipients to fax
- Users can use the Enter key on the keyboard to input a fax number. This allows users enter a fax number and save it using keyboard instead of clicking with mouse.
OSCARPRO-5025 – Disable redundant keychain suggestions on Attachment Manager input fields
- Eliminates the display of autofill extensions in browser when using the fax fields in Attachment Manager.
OSCARPRO-5028 – Add headers to the Selected Attachments panel table
- Includes headers within the Selected Attachment systems to provide additional information for each column.
OSCARPRO-5037 – Add documentation button to Attachment Manager
- Adds a Help link at the top of the Attachment Manager to help users get more information on this section.
OSCARPRO-5038 – Update "Search Contacts" title to "Search External Providers" for fax recipient search
- Updates the title in the Fax section of Attachment Manager to better reflect the Search section used to select internal specialists
OSCARPRO-5061 – Add eForm items to be selectable in Attachment Manager
- Adds eForm as a category in the Attachment Manager, allowing users to select eForm items associated with the patients when printing, faxing, or attaching to Ocean message.
OSCARPRO-5065 – Update the recommended age range for mammograms
- Changes the recommended age for Mammograms in the Prevention Rules from 50 to 40. Based on the latest recommendations in ON and BC.
OSCARPRO-5068 – Improve patient searching in Pro Inbox
- Improves the Patient search functionality in Pro Inbox to reduce potential stress on systems when there is a huge number of patients. Results for associating patients to an item are limited to 30, a search is applicable once there are at least 3 characters, and results only appear once user stops typing.
OSCARPRO-4737 – eFax Ring Central Rate Limit Recovery
- Items sent from EMR to Ring Central now utilize real time rate limit information provided by Ring Central. This helps ensure that if the Rate Limit imposed by Ring Central is about to be exceeded, the transmission from OSCAR will wait until rate limits are under the appropriate threshold.

OSCARPRO-3492 – Simulate OHIP File does not create list due to invoices with null ref_num values
- Addresses an issue preventing the Simulate OHIP function from displaying results if there is an empty/NULL value associated with Referring Specialist.
OSCARPRO-3624 – Patient Address Font differs in Eyeform 3 Consultation Report fax output
- Resolves a minor font discrepancy with the Patient Address data. The Eyeform Consultation Report PDF displays consistent font/sizing for all items.
OSCARPRO-3667 – Clicking "Mark Here" from validation adds timestamp despite property turned off
- Fixes an issue causing the timestamp to appear on schedule despite the associated setting being turned off.
OSCARPRO-4476 – Ophtha code V407 HCV validation do not work
- Adjust the V407 validation entry to ensure its working correctly when clicking the V407 code in the Health Card Validation section.
OSCARPRO-4685 – Smart encounter scaling issues
- Adjusts the Smart Encounter form section to prevent the buttons on the right from appearing at the bottom of the form. Issue occurred depending on users browser zoom.
OSCARPRO-4931 – ReRx fails if Instructions Contain /
- Drug with / in the instructions can be successfully ReRx'd in the Prescription module.
OSCARPRO-5094 – Update Printable object JSON conversion to support new printable JSON format
- Resolves an issue associated with Attachment Manager rendering PDF content. Related to upcoming ability to use Attachment Manager in the Consultations section of OSCAR.

OSCARPRO-5271 Forwarding Provider Fails to select in Pro Document
- Fixes an issue causing the Forward button in the Pro UI not to function correctly
OSCARPRO-5273 Billing dropdown fields fail to load causing NULL values to be saved in the database
- Resolves an issue with the Pro UI billing fields not loading information correctly by default for some systems.

- Fixes an issue that caused certain systems not to load the content of HRM within the Pro UI. The Classic UI still functioned without issue.

OSCARPRO-5292 - Add Save for Ocean Pop Up to guide users on enabling feature in Ocean
- This change enables the "Save for Ocean" button for all systems. This function allows users to use the Attachment Manager to attach patient data to an Ocean Message.
