Improvements
OSCARPRO-1762 - Allow user to select "To" pharmacy using Manage Pharmacy
- Previously users required to use the typeahead to select a Recipient for a Clinician Communication. Users are now able to search for and select a desired Pharmacy by selecting a desired item from the Manage Pharmacy section.
OSCARPRO-1770 - Add ability to sort Renewal Requests
- Users now have the ability to sort Renewal Requests by Patient Name or Pharmacy Name. Date remains as the default selection.
OSCARPRO-2446 - Save and Add Bill is missing from Create Invoice in Pro
- An additional Icon is added beside the "Save & Close" in the ON Pro Create Invoice screen to facilitate ability to save and create another invoice. Clicking the + icon will save existing invoice and open a new Create Invoice page for the same patient.
OSCARPRO-2470 - Improve MCEDT error message
- When the functionality to upload GoSecure files from the MCEDT inbox fails, the user is now presented with a clear error, instead of technical one.
This helps users identify and resolve the issue without the need to contact support or navigate to other sections of the MCEDT to see the associated error.
OSCARPRO-2471 - Create admin setting to display Chart number on eChart PDF output
- Users can now configure whether the Chart No set in Master Record appears in the Print Dialog output in eChart, as well as the label that appears in front of the number in the PDF.
For example, if "Chart No" is entered in the associated field, the PDF will display "Chart No" followed by the Chart No value in the Master Record
If the field is blank, the Chart No will not display on the PDF. The setting can be accessed via the following path:
Administration > eChart > eChart Settings > Display Chart No on PDF with the following label
OSCARPRO-2472 -Ability to Reply to Tickler (auto determine the "Assigned To")
- A new functionality is introduced when editing Ticklers. Users can now use the "Reply" or "Reply & Write to Encounter" buttons.
Clicking Reply (as opposed to Update) will save the Tickler and automatically assign it to the provider that created the last active comment.
This helps users eliminate the need to look for the correct provider in the Assigned To dropdown before using Update to save changes.
OSCARPRO-2473 - Update basic demographic info on BCAR 2020 Form
- Previously the BCAR 2020 Form displayed the demographic information saved in the Form, instead of directly from Master Record. Going forward, the demographic information such as Address, Phone number, etc. will pull from Master Record each load to match behaviour of previous Antenatal Forms.
OSCARPRO-2474 - Display message if encounter roll document item has been archived
- When clicking View in the eChart Roll, documents that have been 'Deleted' (Archived) no longer display a blank page. Rather, an appropriate message appears advising the user that the Document has been archived
OSCARPRO-2475 - Ability to display 'created by' in consultation form and PDF output
- Clinics have the ability to configure whether the 'Created By' provider appears in the Consultation PDF output (including fax version).
When the setting is set to "Yes", the creator of the Consultation record will display on the PDF:

Administration > System Management > Consultation Settings > General Consultation Request Settings > Display "Created By" provider on the PDF version of the consultation
OSCARPRO-2476 - Order lab display patient lab summary based on Date of Test
- Clicking the Lab Results in eChart displays a list of labs ordered by their lab_id. The results are now ordered by their Date of Test to reflect a more accurate and expected descending order.
OSCARPRO-2478 - Re-Implement fix for highlighted dates on calendar view
- Implements proper styling to ensure Calendar highlight is working as intended.
OSCARPRO-2479 - Display Chart No field in make appointment screen
- Users can enable a setting to display the Chart No when creating a new appointment:
The setting can be adjusted via the following menu and is OFF by default:
Administration > Schedule Management >Display Settings >Display Chart No in Create Appointment screen
OSCARPRO-2480 - Add "S" (search next available appointment) shortcut to eChart
- The eChart maintains a shortcut to the "S" icon already available on schedule. Clicking S opens the "Search for Next Available Appointment" screen
OSCARPRO-2481 - Add fax footer in Consultation Request, Letterhead form and Consultation Report
- A brief footer can be added to the Consultation Request via a backend property modification. This must be done by a support representative with access to the properties file.
OSCARPRO-2482 - Ability to open PDF documents from View MOH Files
- Users can now open certain PDF's directly from the View MOH Files section. Previously, clicking on the PDF directly would display an error forcing user to click 'Download' to download and view the file.
OSCARPRO-2483 - Remove H1N1 Prevention button from Flu Billing
- The outdated "Submit & Go to H1N1 Prevention" button was removed from the Master Record > Flu Billing interface.
OSCARPRO-2484 - Display pronouns values in eChart
- The demographics preferred pronounces display at the top of the eChart beside their name. This value is taken from the Pronoun field in Master Record. If this field is empty, additional pronoun value will not display.
OSCARPRO-2485 - Remove specific options from TD Monitoring in eOrder eForm
- Based on Lifelabs direction, the Gentamicin (Random) and Tobramycin (Random) options are removed from the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring selections in the ON eOrder eForm.
OSCARPRO-2486 - Improve bulk HCV number of connections limit
- Improvement to the bulk HCF option on the schedule that allows the verification to run for a larger number of patients at a time.
OSCARPRO-2487 - Ability to set Tickler to display initial message in eChart
- By default, OSCAR displays the most up to date Tickler message in the eChart. Users have the ability to apply a setting that will display the initial (or first created) Tickler, instead of the most up to date one.
The setting is found under Administration > eChart > Display Initial Tickler Message for each Tickler:
OSCARPRO-2488 - Add billing alert for COPD (14053) in bc billing
- An alert for 14053 in BC billing has been added, similar to existing alerts available for 14050, 14051, 14052.
If a patient has 2 invoices saved with code 14053 in the past 12 months, the following alert appears when creating a new invoice:
OSCARPRO-2489 - Set Arrival Time on schedule when marking Here from validation screen
- When the Appointment status is set to 'Here' manually, the appointment is stamped with the associated time. This function has been expanded to include the "Mark Here" found in the Health Card Validation section.
OSCARPRO-2490 - Ability To Search Patients By Email
- Users now have the ability to select Email from the Patient Search dropdown via Search on schedule.
Similar rules apply as other searches, you may enter full or part of an email to see results.
OSCARPRO-2491 - ProfessionalSpecialist.java Improvements
- General improvements to the code associated with the Specialist create/edit section. Removes outdated functionality, improve accessibility and speed and refactors for cleaner code.
OSCARPRO-2493 - Display Linked Ticklers/Tasks in Lab Comment
- Previously Ticklers linked with labs would display an Alert only if the Tickler is assigned to the current provider. This section has been expanded to include Ticklers that have been created (but not necessary assigned) to the current user.
New Features
OSCARPRO-1294 - Add Ability to Select Drug Instructions From Pre-Existing List
- A new "Instruction Examples" button is available in the Pro Rx. Similar to the red star (*) in Classic Rx, users can click Instruction Examples to see a list of instructions previously entered for this specific drug in the EMR.
Selecting an instruction from the list will populate it in the active prescription for the drug.
The available selections are sourced from previous instructions saved for the drug including all providers within the system (as opposed to individual users).
OSCARPRO-2494 - PhysiciansOrders Form
- Colcamex Flowsheet is now available as a Form within the BC version of OSCAR Pro.
OSCARPRO-2495 - Ability To Select Multiple Appointments And Print Appointment Card (THT Feature)
- Users can checkmark multiple appointments and select them to Print Card in the Appointment History section of Master Record.
OSCARPRO-2496 - Add an "Add Appointment" Button in the Appointment History Under Master File
- Users can click the "Add Appointment" link in the Appointment History section. This allows users to select an available time (based on available configured schedule) and create an appointment without having to navigate to Schedule directly.
OSCARPRO-2497 - Blank Search To Bring Back List Of Recent Accessed Patients
- Clinics now have the ability to configure what happens when a blank search is conducted using the Search function from schedule.
The following options are available for configuration:
Display All Demographics - This is the current default where the demographics are listed by last name in ascending order
Display Previously Opened Demographics - When selected, using Search without entering a last name displays the last 10 demographics whose eChart or Master Record have been accessed.
This is useful by allowing users to easily locate the last 10 demographics they have accessed in case an incorrect action was taken by mistake.
The most recent demographics accessed are listed at the top.
Do not display any demographics - When clicking Search, the user is forced to enter a value before any search results are displayed
The configuration is located under Administration > System Management > Edit General Settings > When searching with empty search field during Patient Search
OSCARPRO-2498 - Display outside use in the encounter overview roll
- Introduces the display of an Outside User alert within the Encounter Roll
Bugs
OSCARPRO-1429 - OSCAR Pro Rx: Clicking Manage Pharmacy Removes Added Rx
- Previously, clicking Manage Pharmacy in both Classic and Pro UI's would refresh the Rx module causing any data already entered to clear out.
Clicking the Manage Pharmacy in the Rx Module no longer refreshes the screen in Pro Rx. This means that users are no longer forced to select the Preferred Pharmacy as their initial workflow step and can do so at any time of the process.
OSCARPRO-1495 - Default Pharmacy (Preference) Not Working In PRO RX
- The issue associated with Default Pharmacy selected under Preferences not appearing Pro Rx has been resolved.
OSCARPRO-1763 - PrescribeIT - typeahead in "To" field fails to work if selection is erased
- Resolves an issue whereby the To field under Clinician Communication was to reproduce search results if user erased the content.
OSCARPRO-1772 - Unable to save invoice in Pro if VC has 3 letters
- Users are no longer prevented from saving an invoice if the VC is 3 letters in Master Record
OSCARPRO-1777 - ReRx discontinued drug in Pro does not display as active
- Addresses an issue whereby discontinued drugs that are ReRxd did not display under the Current Drugs filter.
OSCARPRO-1782 - Prescription log records re-rx before it is saved
- Resolves an issue where the log would save an entry prematurely.
OSCARPRO-1792 - ReRx for all long term meds in Pro does not filter identical drugs
- Fixes an issue that was causing multiple long term drugs to display in the ReRx list when using the + from eChart. Clicking the + in Pro Rx groups to display only one item per specific drug, similar to Classic Rx.
OSCARPRO-1799 - Inactive drug alert does not display in Pro Rx
- Addresses an issue that prevented the 'Inactive drug since...' message showing up in the Pro Rx.
OSCARPRO-2086 - Renewal request with decimal value for duration fails to parse
- Resolves an issue that is preventing Renewal Requests with a . from being actioned appropriately.
OSCARPRO-2174 - pdfbox and jbig2-imageio are not consistent between Classic and Pro
- pdfbox and jbig2-imageio are updated to the proper versions in Pro UI.
OSCARPRO-2292 - Uploading new labs to the inbox throws an error when the upload is successful.
- Resolves incorrect error prompt displaying when uploading specific labs manually.
OSCARPRO-2376 - Demographic is not currently not archiving extension
- Fixes issue with extension field in Master Record not being saved to archive consistently.
OSCARPRO-2445 - Modifying Billing Site does not remove Billing Physician in Create Invoice
- Addresses a rare workflow potential where an invoice can be saved without a Location when multisite is enabled.

- Resolves an issue that prevented the pharmacy name and fax number to display in encounter note when using the Fax and Paste option.
OSCARPRO-2463 - Uploading an OLIS lab says it errors but still uploads successfully
- Addresses an incorrect prompt appearing when an OLIS lab is manually uploaded.
OSCARPRO-2464 - POST Create Location - Facility | Table 'facility' doesn't exist Is Thrown As The Table Is Mapped To facility Instead Of Facility
- Resolves an issue with the REST API associated with facility creation.
OSCARPRO-2499 - Assigned To in Tickler view fails to respect 'Receives Tickler' in provider record
- Fixes a bug where the "Receives Tickler" option in the Provider record was not respected when disabled.
OSCARPRO-2500 - Search for patient with Merged status is inconsistent
- Resolves an issue that made it more difficult to search for patients that have Merged status (indicating they were merged using the front end demographic merge tools).
OSCARPRO-2501 - Unable to Set "Display only providers with CPSID under MRP" setting
- Resolves an issue with the setting not applying properly when selected.
OSCARPRO-2502 - Opening Master Record from tickler does not load in same window
- Opening the Master Record from Tickler section no longer opens a new window for each demographic that is opened. The Master Record reloads in same window.
OSCARPRO-2504 - Lab Reports not Displaying the full value for ANA Results
- Resolves an issue where an incorrect value may load for ANA type result in OLIS labs.
OSCARPRO-2505 - Creating a new demographic disables appointment reminder methods by default
- Addresses an issue where new demographics are created without the 'Allow Appointment Reminders' checkboxes auto selected. Going forward, new demographics will have the Phone, Cell and Email marked automatically as before.
OSCARPRO-2506 - Unlink Referral Doctor Will Save And Exit Out Of The Invoice in Billing Corrections Screen
- Clicking "Unlink Referral Doctor" in the Billing Correction screen no longer takes user out of editing invoice. Instead, the Referral Doctor is unlinked successfully.
OSCARPRO-2507 - SLI code 3821 does not display in dropdown in invoice edit
- Addresses a minor issue where 3821 SLI did not appear in the dropdown as selected when editing an invoice.
OSCARPRO-2508 - Erroneous Creation Date Displayed in Tickler Module
- Resolves an issue caused by a specific workflow where the Create Date of tickler on front end up would modify to todays date if a message to a Tickler was added from eChart.
OSCARPRO-2509 - Rourke 2009 and 2017 form display incorrect characters in specific link
- Fixes erroneous display of undesired characters in the Rourke 2018 and 2009 Form under Education and Advice.
OSCARPRO-2510 - Patient unable to be added to multiple batch billings with same service code
- Addresses an issue that prevented a patient to be on the Batch Billing list with same service code for multiple provides.
OSCARPRO-2511 - Medhealth accession shows as blank
- Resolves an issue where certain Mead Health lab results fail to display the Accession # in the top right side of the lab view.
OSCARPRO-2512 - Patients Being Sent Reminder Despite Cancelled Appointment
- Fixes an issue that caused appointments with Cancelled status to still queue for a reminder message.
OSCARPRO-2513 - Online Booking - Appointment Types created via Online Booking Settings are not Enabled
- Appointment Types created via the Online Booking section are not automatically enabled, no longer requiring users to navigate to Administration to enable them.
OSCARPRO-2514 - Inability to disable ConReport menu item on schedule
- The backend setting to hide ConReport was not respected in the past. This is now resolved. When disabled, the ConReport menu item no longer displays on schedule.
OSCARPRO-2515 - OLIS Search by Using Z50 - Identify Patient by Name, Sex and DOB
- Z50 OLIS Search has been removed from selection as it has been decommissioned by Ontario Health.
OSCARPRO-2516 - Unable to Bill Patient With No First Name on File
- Resolves a long standing issue with invoice creation for mononymous patients (those with only first name). Users are no longer limited in creating invoices with patients who do not have a First Name on file.
OSCARPRO-2517 - False Fail When Archiving Items in the View MOH Files Section
- When using the Archive option in View MOH Files, users are no longer confronted with the incorrect 'Unable to Archive' error, despite file archiving successfully.
OSCARPRO-2518 - Waiting List report fails to insert demographic name in appt on 'next page'
- Addresses issue that prevented users from using the Next Page on the scheduler when using the Make Appt link from a Waiting List.
OSCARPRO-2519 - Selected Options on Perinatal Form Not Appearing On Printed Document When Using Print Button
- Resolves an issue with the 'Counseled and declined' selection not appearing in the PR2 on the Perinatal Form.
OSCARPRO-2477 - Remove new "error" when a new demographic is saved without an HIN
- Removes an error prompt introduced in the past that warns user a record was saved without an HIN
OSCARPRO-2521 - "Bill To" Showing Patient Address Instead of What is Saved on the Invoice
- The Bill To when using Print PDF for invoices no longer defaults to patients address.
OSCARPRO-2522 - Maternal PHN fails to apply to newborn in BC Master Record
- Resolves issue causing newborn Demographic records not to retain the HIN of their mother demographic.
OSCARPRO-2523 - Final labs are not always the last lab
- Introduces a fix from the OSCAR open source project that ensures the correct lab is presented as the last one on the list.
OSCARPRO-2524 - Perinatal - Subsequent Row Data Removed If Certain Ultrasound Rows Empty
- Addresses an issue in the Perinatal Form that ignored additional line content in the Ultrasound section, if the NT Ultrasound and Anatomy scan lines were not populated.
OSCARPRO-2525 - NullPointerException causing measurements to not display when opening eChart from an appointment
- Fixes a 500 error that occurs if a measurement has NULL set in the appointment column.
OSCARPRO-2526 - Changes to Appointment Status of Appointment Does Not Update/Sync the Cancel/Reminder Flags for the Appointment Reminder
- Modifies the logic associated with Cancelled status appointment reminders to ensure that the reminder queue is properly adjusted based on most up to date status of appointment.
OSCARPRO-2527 - Unexpected Colposcopy Total amount appearing in certain physician's Billing Reconciliation report
- Fixes an issue with incorrect Colposcopy amount appearing on RA when there are multiple provider records with same billing number.
OSCARPRO-2528 - Prevent Next button from creating duplicate entries in Schedule Template
- Clicking the Next button to finalize Schedule Creation is no longer prone to creating duplicate entries. The Next button can be clicked multiple times while loading, without duplication being created.
OSCARPRO-2529 - RX - Written Date Renders as Start Date on Prescription
- Resolves an issue whereby selecting a Start Date in Classic UI would result in Written Date being modified instead if a future date is used.

OSCARPRO-2938 - BC eorder not submitting after merging branches
- Fixes issue associated with eOrder BC not submitting.
OSCARPRO-3079 - Opening Ticklers results in 500 error if create_date is NULL for at least one Tickler
- As part of OSCARPRO-2508, the Created date column did not display the date reflected in the database. After resolving this issue it was discovered that some systems had a NULL Created date which caused some ticklers to display 500 error. This has been resolved by ensuring NULL in Created does not cause 500 error.
OSCARPRO-3103 - Rx parser calculates incorrect Total Quantity amount
- Resolves issue associated with the Rx parser not displaying correct quantity.
OSCARPRO-3053 - Additional Versions of Dynacare Labs fail to upload
- Resolves an issue where follow up labs from Dynacare were failing to parse within OSCAR.
OSCARPRO-2990 - Unable to ReRx drug due to missing min and max in instructions
- Addresses an issue whereby drugs that were missing min and max values within instructions were failing to ReRx.
OSCARPRO-2973 - Clicking Print and Submit on existing eForm fails to save
- Fixes a bug where clicking Print and Submit button for an already saved eForm failed to do any action.
