This article will walk you through the steps to submit your billing claims through Teleplan.
We recommend sending daily or at least every other day to keep up to date and insure that if you were to miss cut off you would not be missing an entire pay period.
Simulate Teleplan File2
Once you have are ready to submit, navigate to Administration > Billing > Simulate Teleplan File2.
You can set this for All Providers or a specific Provider.
What you want to see here is no errors, errors are identified by the red line you see in above example. The system will identify any simple errors allowing you to correct prior to Generation the claim file. This can help to avoid rejections.
It will tell you the issue as well.
You can click on the red error line or the invoice number to open and review to correct.
The only time that you cannot correct an identified error, is if the patient is out of province, in that case the system cannot check eligibility so it sees it as an error. It is okay to ignore that one.
See Out of Province Billing - BC for additional information.
Once you have completed review and are ready to Generate a claim file to submit, proceed to
Generate Teleplan File2
Once you have are ready to create the file for submission, navigate to Administration > Billing > Generate Teleplan File2.
You can set this for All Providers or a specific Provider.
Important: You cannot undo the file once generated, so take the time to insure you are selecting the correct provider if you are not meant to submit for ALL.
You will see the creation date and time, the number of claims in the file and the word Send. Click on Send, this will change to Sent once the transmission is complete.
In my example instance above, I have 3 claim files, in order to send these, you want to start at the bottom as Teleplan needs to receive these is sequence.
Reviewing Sent Files
If you need to review what was contained in any claim file sent, you can click the HTML file to download a pdf and review the contents.
You will also note that the invoice status, one the file is generated, will change to SUB.
If you find that you need to cancel/delete an invoice in SUB status you have 2 options, wait for MSP to process and address. Or, you can contact MSP to ask to have the claim Zapped.
Zapping a claim is done through MSP (1-866-456-6950) will require that you provide the MSP Sequence number. This is not provided externally until the claim has been processed by MSP, you will need to submit a request to support, help@oscarprodesk.ca, please include the Demographic number of the patient and the invoice number so we can provide this to you.
Please reach out to support if you have any follow up questions, help@oscarprodesk.ca.
