Here we will review how to see your Outside Use information within OSCAR Pro.

An Outside Use Report is available for download from the MOH monthly, this would be included in your billing reports that are brought in using the MCEDT Mailbox. Here is a link regarding using the MCEDT Mailbox: Download Reports
This monthly report needs to be downloaded from the MCEDT Mailbox to then be made available under View MOH Files to be actioned:
The Outside Use Reports will start with the letter L, and the second letter will be in relation to the month of the year. It will also contain OU within the file name.
This report needs to be opened from View MOH Files by clicking directly on the file name:
Opening the report will load all the contents of that report into OSCAR.
Once opened, it can be closed when you're done reviewing it. The Outside Use Report can now be moved to the Archive folder:
If a patient was listed on the Outside Use Report from the MOH, then that information will be present from their chart. There is also a display notification can that can be enabled, so that you can see this from a booked appointment. To enable this setting, you would need to navigate to Administration > Schedule Management > Display Settings:
This notification icon will look like this if the patient was on the Outside Use Report:
For these patients, you can review their personal entry from the Outside Use Report from both their Master Record and their eChart.
From the Master Record on the left hand side under the Billing tab is Outside Use:
This will show as:
From the eChart, there is an OU link in blue along the top header of the chart:
By clicking on OU, it will load a similar report to the one from the Master Record:
If you prefer, there is an eChart setting that can be enabled to paste this information into the encounter notes section. This can be enabled by navigating to Administration > eChart > eChart Settings:
The patient's outside use activity will then be pasted in as an encounter note:
