OPS BPS Secure Designation: Step by Step Instructions
A Doctor / Group with an existing OPS BPS Secure account can designate another account to download files and submit claims to the MOH on their behalf. The instructions below provide an overview and detailed step by step instructions on how to complete this designation.
First, the designating Doctor will login to their OPS BPS Secure to designate the account that will submit claims on their behalf. Second, the designee will accept the designation via an email link associated with their own OPS BPS Secure. Finally, the designating Doctor will then confirm the designation by assigning desired permissions/rights to the designee.
The process begins with the Doctor wishing to designate another OPS BPS Secure account to submit claims on their behalf. The Doctor will:
- Log in the the Ministry of Health OPS BPS Secure portal https://www.login.security.gov.on.ca/
- Enter your username and password
- If you don't remember your password, select "Forgot Password" and follow the on-screen prompts
- If you do not recall your username, you will need to reach out to OPS BPS Secure directly 1800-262-6524
- Select Electronic Business Services Enrollment
- Click Designee Management at the Administration and MOHLTC Services screen
- Click Add Designees
- Input name and email address of the designee and click Save
- Click Confirm this Designation to complete adding designee. The MOH will match this information in their database. If you receive prompt, confirm that the information above matches the information on your screen and select Confirm this Designation to continue.
Once successful, the account being designated will receive an email from OPS BPS Secure to accept the designation. The designee will then:
- Click the confirmation link provided in the the designation email
- Login using OPS BPS Secure credentials
- Click Accept to accept the designation
- Read and agree to associated Acceptable Use Policy
Finally, the initial Doctor that has submitted the designation must confirm the designee by assigning desired permissions in their OPS BPS Secure account. The designating doctor will:
- Login to OPS BPS Secure
- Click on Designee Management at the Administration and MOHLTC Services screen.
- Click on the email address of the desired designee
- Select the MCEDT Service Upload/Download Service option under List of Service Delegations for Designee
- Click Select All to select all permission on the screen, or select other desired permissions as desired. You will need to click Save to update changes made.
