Systems that are utilizing the eFax module to integrate with Ring Central have the ability to see their sent faxes directly from EMR.

Viewing Sent Faxes
Viewing sent faxes allows users to determine whether their fax was successfully sent from the associated fax service (eg. Ring Central). The system automatically shows all sent faxes from the last 3 days.
To search for sent:
- Navigate to Administration > Electronic Faxing > Fax Outbox
- Select desired filters like Start Date, End Date, Status, etc.
- Click Search
Result: Faxes triggered from the EMR will display, including the account it was sent from, the demographic number, the date, and the status.
Clicking View on an item displays the content of the fax item:
Status of Fax Items in the Outbox
The value found in the Status column is linked with information provided by the fax provider (eg. Ring Central) and can include the following:
- Delivered - Indicates that the fax service has sent the fax successfully
- In Progress - Indicates that the fax has been queued on the Ring Central side

Error - Indicates that Ring Central failed to send the fax. Hovering over the Error status can provide more information
Filtering Sent Faxes by Demographic Number
At times, it may be necessary to see the status of a fax associated with a specific demographic. Was the fax sent from the EMR? Was it delivered by the fax service? When did this happen? To do so:
- Navigate to Administration > Electronic Faxing > Fax Outbox
- Select the desired dates for the fax transmission using Start Date and End Date.
- The system automatically shows all sent faxes from the last 3 days
- Enter the demographic number in the Demographic Id field
- Optional: Enter a desired fax recipients number in the Sent To field
- Click Search
Result: Faxes sent for the associated demographic are displayed based on the selected filters.
Clicking View on an item displays the content of the fax item:
Resend Faxes
At times, it is necessary to resend faxes if they previously failed. To do so:
- Find a fax item in the list
- Click the Resend icon on the right hand side
- That's it!
Note: A fax resend will try to send the fax to its destination 3x via the Ring Central service
Archiving Sent Faxes
At times, it may be necessary to archive faxes so you do not see them in the sent list. To do so:
- Find a fax item in the list
- Click the Archive icon on the right hand side
- Select your archiving reason
- Optional - add any notes
- Click Confirm
Unarchiving Sent Faxes
At times, it may be necessary to unarchive previously archived faxes. To do so:
- Select a date range
- Click the Archived button
- Find a fax item in the list
- Click the Unarchive icon on the right hand side
- Review the previously used archive reason and any notes
- Click Confirm
