This article provides step by step instructions on how to integrate a Ring Central eFax account with your OSCAR Pro.
Once integrated, any faxes triggered from OSCAR will use the Ring Central account to send faxes.
Similarly, any faxes that come into the Ring Central account will route to the configured OSCAR Inbox.
This integration is done once per Fax Account.
Overview
There are three main steps associated with setting up this integration:
-
Obtaining a JWT Token from Ring Central
Creating a special "JWT" token by logging in to the Ring Central account via your Administration portal.
-
Configuring Ring Central in Fax Account
Configuring the obtained JWT token and Ring Central credentials into a Fax Account in OSCAR Pro.
-
Configuring Fax Account Settings
Configuring the settings associated with the Fax Account such as which Inbox incoming fax route to, cover letter settings, and the Default Sending Account.

Configuring Fax Account Settings in OSCAR Pro
- Under Fax Configuration > Add Ring Central
- Ensure Enable Integration Faxes is toggled ON
Select a desired value under Incoming Inbox. The default is the Unclaimed Inbox shared by all users.
If you wish the faxes to route to a specific providers Inbox, select it from the dropdown list.
- Ensure Enable Outgoing Faxes if toggled ON
- Click Save
If desired, navigate back to the saved Fax Account and select a Cover Letter under Enable Outgoing Faxes. Note that the cover letters are selected directly from Ring Central and are not configured in OSCAR pro.
By default, if there is only one Fax Account setup it becomes the Default Sending Account. If two or more Fax Accounts are setup, you may choose which Fax Account is sending outgoing faxes when triggered from OSCAR Pro.
