Here are some directives on how to obtain your Remittance Advice (RA) using the MCEDT Mailbox and then processing it to update the Billing Status of the paid invoices.
The RA is typically available for download the first couple of days of the month, this can differ based on holidays and weekends, as well as the MOH cut off date.
The RA can be downloaded, along with other MOH reports by navigating to Administration > Billing > MCEDT Mailbox and using the green Download New Files button:

Once downloaded the reports would be available under View MOH Files to action. The RA will start with the letter P, the second letter corresponds to the month of the year and it will show the physician's billing number. The P file would need to be clicked on from View MOH Files, this will load the payment report under Billing Reconciliation to be actioned:
Once clicked, the Billing Reconciliation page will display for you to action/review the payment report. It will be broken down into 3 sections: Error, Summary and Report.
In order to process the RA and update the invoice status to Settled, we want to open the Summary section. Here is a link to a video from our Help Portal: Processing the RA
The Summary will open in a new window, and will display all the invoices that were processed by the MOH in the last billing cycle. From the top right, the physician's name would need to be selected and then click Generate. This will provide a local and other break down of payments on the Report section of the RA, this is important if the provider works at other locations:
After loading the Summary, the Settle button under Status can be utilized - this will update the paid invoices to Settled status:
You will need to wait for the white page, and then you can click on Billing Reconciliation on the left side to load the window back to complete the processing. You will note that the S35 button remains, and the Settle has been removed:
The S35 button can be used next, and this will update any paid explanatory errors to Settled as well. This list includes explanatory errors such as 35, 30, I2 and B2. You will need to wait for the white page again to load, at which time if you click back on Billing Reconciliation it will show as Processed under the Status:
The remaining portions of the RA can be opened and reviewed as required.
Error will show any explanatory errors received. Errors that have only received a partial payment, or no payment will remain in the B Submitted OHIP status for further review. If you're not completing a RAI (Remittance Advice Inquiry) with the MOH, the invoice can be manually updated to Settled status.
Report section will give you a break down of any payments unrelated to invoices. This will include advanced payments, premiums, deductions and penalties too. It will show a year to date and a month to date break down. Questions regarding the Report portion of the RA should be directed to the MOH, they can be contacted at 1800-262-6524.
