OSCAR Pro Link Progress Update

This page highlights the progress of the Link functionality in OSCAR Pro, featuring a timeline of key developments, videos, and other updates.

OSCAR Pro Link has been developed to replicate the familiar features and workflows used in IndiviCare.

This continuity allows clinics to adopt using Link in OSCAR Pro with minimal disruption, eliminating the need for extensive staff training or major adjustments that can happen when new workflows are introduced.

The screenshots and videos presented below are captured from our active testing environments which are regularly updated with new Link features!

Progress Update

Below are development completion dates for various features. This list includes features relevant to users, and omits effort associated with backend work.

2024-10-28 – Disable Linking Single Patients (Lock Record)

  • Individual patient records can be blocked from sharing Link Data
  • When a Linked patient is blocked, any existing links are broken

2024-10-15 – Send Tickler to Primary System After Link/Unlink Action

  • When a patient is Linked, a Tickler is sent to the Primary Clinic to notify MRP
  • When a patient is Unlinked, a Tickler is sent to the Primary Clinic to notify MRP

2024-10-01 – View Allergy Entries from a Remote System

  • A Covering Clinic can view Allergy entries obtained directly from the Primary Chart.
  • Remote Allergies are marked with a Link icon

2024-09-26 – Send Medication Record from a Covering to Primary Chart

  • A Prescription created by the Covering Clinic is sent to the database of the Primary Chart.
  • Remote Perceptions are marked with a Link icon

2024-09-17 – View Lab Results from a Remote System

  • A Covering Clinic can view Lab results obtained directly from the Primary Chart under the Labs section in eChart
  • Remote labs are marked with a link icon
  • Labs are 'read only' and cannot be modified on the Covering Clinic

2024-09-12 – Send Encounter Notes from Covering to Primary Chart

  • An Encounter Note signed by the Covering Clinic is sent to the database of the Primary Chart.
  • Remote notes are marked with a Link icon

2024-09-03 – View Encounter Notes from a Remote System

  • A Covering Clinic can view Encounter Notes obtained directly from the linked Primary Chart
  • Remote notes are marked with a Link icon

2024-08-27 - View Medication Record from Remote System

  • A covering clinic can access Medication records from a remote system

2024-08-21 - Include custom Tickler message after note sign

  • When signing note as the covering clinician, a pop up is displayed to allow the user to enter a custom tickler message or opt out of sending a tickler.

2024-08-20 - View CPP from Remote System Part 2

  • A covering clinic can access Other Meds CPP from a system/patient it is linked to
  • A covering clinic can access Risk Factors CPP from a system/patient it is linked to

2024-08-16 - View CPP from Remote System Part 1

  • A covering clinic can access Social History CPP from a system/patient it is linked to
  • A covering clinic can access Medical History CPP from a system/patient it is linked to

2024-08-06 - View Document Record from Remote Clinic

  • A covering clinic can access a document record from a system/patient it is linked to
  • The Document is displayed in its appropriate section using the Link icon to designate its source
  • Clicking the Document title in eChart presents a Link icon to designate its source



2024-07-30 - Manage Patients Link Status

  • A Patient in Local system can be linked to a Primary System
  • Linking prompt provides description of function
  • Linking prompt displays the name of the MRP in Primary System
  • A Patient in Local System can be unlinked from a Primary System
  • Unlinking prompt provides descriptive warning to user



2024-07-25 - Link Icon Added to Patient Search

  • A new column is added to Patient Search to reflect Link Icon/status of associated patient

2024-07-17 - Link Icon in Master Record and eChart

  • The Link Icon is added to Master Record and eChart
  • Clicking the Link icon displays the Link Results Page for users to see matching patients in other systems



2024-07-12 - Redesign of Link Results Page

  • The Link Results page is redesigned to include additional local patient information
  • Link status icons are programmed into the Link Results Page

What's Next?

  • Finalize necessary features that make Link in OSCAR Pro ready for migration!
  • Continue to expand clinical resources available remotely via eChart (HRM, Disease Registry, etc.)
  • Get latest Link status by hovering over Link Status icon
  • Develop a web interface to manage configuration of linked systems.
