eOrder service provides the ability for clinicians to submit outpatient lab testing orders electronically directly from your OSCAR to LIfeLabs servers.

NOTE: the clinic must be actively set up with the LifeLabs BC eOrder integration in order to submit a requisition successfully.
Submitting a LifeLabs BC eOrder:
- Navigate to eChart of desired patient
- Click the + associated with the eForm
- Select the following eForm: eOrder BC Lab Req
- If needed, select Ordering Practitioner Name by clicking Search link
NOTE: this field is prepopulated automatically based on the MRP in the patients Master Record - Select desired Bill To option (Payment Type is required)
- Populate the eForm by selecting checkboxes and search fields located in the eForm
- Click "Add Signature", use the mouse to draw a signature and click
NOTE: this step is not required if the signature is automatically populated. See this article for more information.
- Click eOrder to submit
- Wait for confirmation message
- Use Print to view or Print requisition
Selecting a Copy to Practitioner
Users can select a Copy to Practitioner to include in the requisition. The list is sourced directly from LifeLabs servers.
- Click on Search beside Copy to PRACTITIONER field
- enter last name of desired practitioner in the following format: [last name], [first name]
NOTE: you may search by last name, by first name or by a combination of both. For example, inputting "s,anthony" will search any practitioners whose last name starts with s and first name starts with Anthony. Or use ",anthony" to search by last name only. - Click Search
- Click on a desired name to add as a Copy to Practitioner to eOrder
Selecting Other Tests
Users can select from a list of 800+ predefined tests to include as part of the eOrder
- Locate the OTHER TESTS section and click on an empty line
- Enter desired keyword term. For example "Urine A"
- Select desired test from the list.
NOTE: tests with green highlight and $ symbol indicate these are paid-by-patient tests. - Continue searching and adding tests as desired.
- If needed, use the "Additional 'Other Tests' here..." section by searching for tests and click "Add" to add them to the list.
