Key Steps
Step 1: Navigate to the RX Module

Open the Oscar Pro EMR system.

Locate and click on the RX module within any patient record.
Step 2: Check ERx Compatibility

In the RX module, find the preferred pharmacy drop-down menu.

Ensure that the selected pharmacy is ERX enabled.
Step 3: Initiate PrescribeIT

Either re-prescribe a medication or start a new medication from scratch

Instead of clicking 'Save and Print', click on 'eSign Send and Paste' to start the PrescribeIT process.
Step 4: Enter One-Time Passcode

A pop-up will appear requesting a one-time passcode.

Check your cell phone for the text message containing the passcode.
Step 5: Complete Authentication

Enter the one-time passcode into the pop-up window.

Click 'OK' to proceed.

Look for an authentication message at the bottom right of the screen to confirm successful authentication.
- After successful authentication you may continue to and send your prescriptions through PrescribeIT
Cautionary Notes

Ensure that your cell phone is accessible and that you can receive text messages during the authentication process.

Double-check that the pharmacy is ERX enabled before attempting to prescribe.
- You will need to authenticate yourself every 12 hours.
Tips for Efficiency

Perform the authentication process at the start of the clinic day to avoid delays.
- You can perform authentication on a test patient.
