In this video, I walk you through the eDoc section of our main schedule page. You'll learn how to store both public and private documents, which can be essential for patient handouts and personal use. I demonstrate how to add documents and explain the visibility settings for each type. Please make sure to follow along and try adding a document yourself after watching!
0:00 Hi there. In today's video, we're going to be going over the eDoc section. Your eDoc section is going to be
located along your green toolbar of your main schedule page.
0:14 If we click on eDoc, it's going to open up a little window. This area is a spot where you're able to store
documents that you're able to print off for patients when required, usually used for handouts with information
regarding any requisitions or tests that they might need to be completed.
0:34 You also have the ability to store private documents. Private documents would be only visible to the user that is
logged in.
0:42 From here we're able to click on add document at the top. You're able to choose your selector type. This would
be considered your document type for assigning to that document.
0:55 The next you'll have the option of choosing whether or not this is a public document that you're uploading or
something that would be personal.
1:01 If I leave the check blank beside document, that means I'm entering something that would be personal and only
visible to me.
1:10 Next, we're able to choose file. That's going to open up the window that's going to load for your computer
where you're able to obtain a document that you wish to add.
1:20 We're going to select an item from here and click our open option. That will select your item. You'll see it here
beside the choose file button.
1:32 On the far left we have the add. As that was added under a personal document, it is only available under my
name.
1:42 Other users that log into the Oscar system would not see this item when they click on eDoc. To add a public
document, we're going to again click on add document and choose our document type.
1:58 We're going to mark off the check mark beside public and enter in a name. We will choose our file by clicking on
choose file button and selecting the item from here that we wish to add and click open.
2:15 That'll grab our document that we've selected and then we click add again. That'll be listed under public
documents that would be visible to anyone that clicks on the eDoc link that is logged into your Oscar system.
2:29 These documents again can be clicked on in order to load should you require to print these items off for a
patient as a handout.
2:38 That would be concluding today's video on how to utilize your eDoc section. You can check out our help portal
for additional videos and articles. Thanks.
