Here are the steps to add and manage your patient's allergy profile in OSCAR PRO:
Navigate to a patients eChart and press the plus symbol in the Allergies heading.
Alternatively, you can access the same page from the patient's Rx module by clicking the Manage button in the Allergies section
In the Allergy Profile window observe the following options
Red - Tabs that filter the status of the patients allergy profile
Orange - Searchable text field that allows you to search prescription drugs and other common allergies
Green - Quick add buttons that allow you to log the following entries:
- NKDA -No Known Drug Allergies
- Penicillin
- SULFA - Sulfonamide Antibiotics
Blue - Similar to Custom Drug this allows a user to manually enter an allergy entry; however, this manual entry will not display allergy interaction warnings.
To illustrate this further let's add Ibuprofen as an allergy entry. In the search field type Ibuprofen then select the matching entry
The next screen shows multiple fields to enter details regarding the patients allergic response to the medication/substance. Once you've gathered all information click the green save button.
The saved entry appears as such
To edit an allergy entry's details or to inactivate an entry go back to the Allergy Profile window and on the far right of the entry select the PENCIL icon or INACTIVATE buttons.
