In this mini video we will cover how to re-prescribe medications.
0:00 Hi there. In today's training video, we're going to be going over how to re-prescribe a medication. So first, we
do need to access our medication module.
0:10 Now, that can be done by clicking on an RX shortcut or from within your clinical chart and clicking on the word
medications on the right.
0:22 Once we're within our medications module, we are able to do a re-prescribe, a single re-prescribe or a multiple
re-prescribe of medications. At the bottom of the page will be listed your current drugs.
0:35 There are three icons at the far right. The half circle with an arrow on it when we hover our mouse will show that
it represents RERX.
0:45 The additional icons will showcase as discontinue and delete. With regards to re-prescribing. If we're doing one
drug, we are able to click on the icon to the right of it and that'll load that medication for us.
1:01 To re-prescribe. If we are re-prescribing more than one drug, then on the left hand side, there are checkboxes
that we are able to utilize.
1:12 By clicking off the drugs that we are re-prescribing, we are then able to click on apply to select it at the very top.
1:20 We will see the same icons that are on the right of the medications listed. So, by clicking on our Re-Prescribe
icon, it is then loading those medications for us.
1:33 With our medication selected, we are then able to click on our save and print at the bottom of the scroll of
medications, and that will load for us within our prescription print preview window.
1:46 From here, we are able to utilize our print and paste into EMR, or we can, fax and paste into the EMR.
1:54 That would be concluding today's training video on how to re-prescribe a medication. You can check out our
help portal for additional videos. Thanks!
