In this video we will cover how to manage the clinic's pharmacy list and the preferred pharmacies assigned to patient's charts.
0:00 Hi there. In today's training video, we're going to be going over pharmacy management. In order to manage any
of your clinic's pharmacies list, we're going to have to be within the prescriptions module.
0:13 That can be accessed by clicking on an RX shortcut link for any patient, and that'll open up to the prescriptions
module.
0:21 From here, we're going to click on the green manage pharmacy link at the top of this page. That'll open up to
your clinic's list of pharmacies, as well as anything that has been assigned as a preferred pharmacy for your patient.
0:36 From this window, up at the top, anything that has a star beside it would be considered the preferred pharmacy
for a patient.
0:42 Below other pharmacies, that would be a list of your clinic's pharmacies. Up at the top, you are able to see and
you to search.
0:50 You can search for a pharmacy by their name, address, city, postal code, the phone, or fax number, whichever is
your preferred method.
0:59 From here, if I do search and nothing does come up, you do have the option here of add new pharmacy.
1:06 That will be located at the bottom of the window. From here, we're able to fill in the information as needed.
1:13 The fax number being most important, so that you are able to fax out any of the prescriptions that are assigned
to this with the preferred pharmacy.
1:23 Your save button will be at the bottom. Once saved, it would be located within your pharmacies list. You can see
that it is now refreshed my search, giving us the well health option.
1:35 In order to assign a pharmacy to a patient as a preferred, we're going to click on the star on the left side.
1:41 That will assign it up to the top for that patient. We'll now see that our patient has three assigned to them.
1:49 The actions buttons that are located on the very far right side will allow you to manage your pharmacy list on
the EMR as a whole.
2:00 The pencil icon will allow you to edit any of your pharmacies information. By clicking on the pencil, it'll open up
the pharmacies information where you are able to make any edits as required.
2:13 The save button will be located again at the bottom. If you will be deleting any of your pharmacies to remove it
from your complete list of your EMR.
2:24 That would be done with the trash can. That will be removing it from your EMR, so it would be removing it from
any patients that have that assigned to them.
2:33 There is a pop-up warning that will come up. If you do not wish to delete your pharmacy, we will click cancel.
2:39 To remove a pharmacy from a patient, we're going to use the star again on the very far left. If they have moved
nd they're no longer in this WIPI location, for instance, I'm able to click on the star and that will remove that Rexall
pharmacy from that patient's list.
3:01 By clicking the X in the top right corner, that will close off your managed pharmacies, bringing you back to the
patient's prescription module.
3:09 Any new pharmacies that have been assigned to that patient would now be located in the preferred pharmacy
drop-down to be selected to complete your next prescription.
3:20 That would be concluding today's video on managing your pharmacy list. Check out our help portal for any
additional videos. Thanks!
