0:00 Hi there. In today's training video, we're going to be going over how to split a document or split a fax from your
inbox.
0:07 There is an administrative setting that does offer two different options of how to split your documents.
The first would be to split all of the documents and then assign them to the patients.
0:18 And if you enable the setting, it allows you to assign the documents as you split them. So we'll go over both
options at this time.
0:27 So the first, we're going to split all the documents first, which is the default setting with it not being enabled.
0:35 So we're going to go into our star here, our unclaimed inbox, in order to split a fax that has come through.
0:41 So I'm going to open up our fax. That's going to show us here that it is one of three pages.
0:48 We do have the split option on the left, and that's going to load for us a new window. From here, we are able to
scroll up and down on that document on the right-hand side to confirm which pages are for which patients.
1:01 We can select a page, and that's going to give it a border of red. On the left-hand side, we're going to click Add.
1:07 We can click Save and Continue after we have selected all the pages for the first patient. Then we're able to select
additional pages and clicking the Add button on the left in order to make a new document.
1:22 Once we have selected all of our pages for the additional patients, we're going to click Save and Continue. Now
we're going to click Done.
1:31 And OK. That'll bring you back to the original document. If you wish to file the original document, you are able to
click File up at the top and click the OK on your warning.
1:42 It is filing it without it being attached to a patient. The split documents will then be available for you in your
personal inbox.
1:51 So by closing your unclaimed, you will come back into your general inbox, your personal. And you're going to
see the two new items up at the top that you're able to then assign off to your patients.
2:02 So we have our first one with the one of two pages and the additional one of one page. Now, if you wish to
enable the setting in order to assign the documents out as you're splitting, we're going to go under administration.
2:18 We're going to go into system management. On the left and document settings, the setting that we're going to
enable here is open new window when splitting documents, we're going to mark off yes and click save.
2:35 From here, I'm just going to go back into our unclaimed inbox. To split the next document here, so I'm going to
select the top one and that's going to load it for us.
2:47 We're going to see again that it is one of three pages and I'm able to click the split button. That's going to load it
for us here in the new window similar to before, and I'm going to select the first page and click the add.
3:00 This time when I click on save and continue, it will load a new window where we're able to assign it off by
choosing our document type and putting in our document description.
3:12 We can then assign it to a patient, which will flag the provider. We can click our save and next, which is going to
bring us back to our splitting window where we're able to select the remaining pages by clicking on the page in the
add button on the left.
3:30 Save and continue. Again, we'll load up to the additional window where we're able to assign the second
document. Which will again flag your provider.
3:47 Save and next will save and file that document and bring you back to your original splitting window. We can click
done and OK.
3:56 That again will bring you back to the original document which we can file. And click OK. That would be
concluding today's video regarding the two options for splitting documents.
