There are several ways to have Nexus AI summarize a patient encounter—even if your internet connection is unreliable.
Nexus AI requires a stable connection when starting, and it must remain connected without interruption for at least 30 seconds. If the connection is lost for 30 consecutive seconds, Nexus AI will automatically pause and cannot resume until the connection is restored.
If you're unable to use Nexus AI in real-time due to poor or no connectivity, you can still document the encounter using one of the following methods:
1. Upload a Recording
With appropriate patient consent, record the encounter using another application. Once you're back online, you can upload the recording to Nexus AI, and it will generate a note from the audio.
2. Record and Playback to Nexus AI
After recording the encounter (with patient consent), start Nexus AI when you have a stable connection. Play the recording aloud so Nexus AI can listen and process the audio in real time. Submit the note once playback is complete.
3. Take Notes and Dictate an Encounter Summary
Jot down key points during the encounter. When your connection is restored, use Nexus AI to dictate a summary based on your notes, and it will generate a clinical note for you.
